Affirmation: Your heart in love never grows old.
As many of you may know I don’t paint animals very often, but when I do it’s normally a self-projection.
Recently I don’t sleep well. I stayed up one night sorting out those reference photos I took over the years, then I found this particular one that I took 10 years ago when I visit Koala Conservation Reserve in Phillip Island Nature Parks.
Something extremely calm and peaceful in this photo draws my attention. The contentment, the koala sleeps soundly with its limbs spray out against the gum tree loosely with an exquisite balance.
Animal lives with nature order, trust the mother nature.
The scene brings me back to the memory of when I was little, my mother used to tuck me and my younger brother in bed, sitting on the edge of the bed singing a lullaby while soothing my eyebrows with her soft touches.
We might never be young again or sleep soundly like a baby. However, to me, the most beautiful thing about aging is the love will never age.
To every single family member that we miss. For now, we may meet in sweet dreams till the day we reunion.
The latest piece of my animal series THE VOICE OF NATURE.
