About this artwork

This is a textured oil painting on a custom-made canvas board mounted on a black wooden frame. The edges have been painted black. Felt pads have been placed on the back corners to protect your wall. D-rings and wire have been attached, making it ready to hang on your wall. This painting comes with its unique story and a certificate of authenticity.

This is part of my garden series. I love seeing sunflowers popping up in the garden, especially when I can’t remember exactly where I planted the seeds. Six years ago, I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury and painting this reminded me of the healing wonders of nature. Sunflowers symbolise happiness and vibrancy, they are warm and inviting. Their seeds are the key to new beginnings and remind us of the importance of love, patience and nurturing we all need in life. What better way to be greeted each morning than by sunflowers?

In a painting you can have them on display any time of the year. I hope this painting brings you a sense of nuture, care and growth.
