I always love it when I see Billy Buttons (Craspedia). They are also known as “drumsticks” or “flower drumsticks”and are in the daisy family. They are a beautiful native Australian plant with a beautiful buttery yellow glow, which I have tried to capture in this painting. The bring a beautiful presence in the garden, house, bouquet, vase … and of course on your wall!
The colour yellow is often associated with fun, joy and energy … maybe that’s why I feel happy looking at them.
I hope this painting brings you a sense of these feelings too!
