About this artwork

My current body of work is exploring Australia's unique bird life. Starting with watercolour, I built layers until i felt the depth of the bird was sufficient, then allowed the background to develop by playing with large graphic elements in acrylic paint, making sure not to overwhelm the main subject. Its possible my background in graphic design is influencing my current work as I explore combining realism with more illustrative elements. This artwork will suit most decors with its earthy palette of paynes grey, indigo blue, burnt umber as well as gentle pastel background colours of jade, blue, beige and pink,

Artwork has been signed by Kati Garrett Filho and sprayed with an archival protective coat.
This Original Artwork Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is ready to be framed and added to your personal collection.

I sell my work unframed because I feel it's a personal thing and find that most people would prefer to choose a frame that suits their decor, (plus it's easier and safer to ship paper than glass.) However if you'd like the work framed, please get in touch.

NB: Unframed artwork comes wrapped in tissue, rolled with great care and placed in a mailing tube. Once received, remove the art as soon as possible from the tube to allow it to rest. Professional framing behind UV protective Art Glass (or Acrylic) is recommended.
