Sunday lunch in the Dandenongs
About this artwork
Every so often I start a painting with no real direction in mind and this is one of them. So I started with a background and just allowed it to evolve itself from there. I knew there would be birds, I didnt decide what sort of birds until I was painting in the leaves and the flowers, With all the lorikeets around home at the moment feeding on the flowering gums it just seemed like the natural choice.
Painted on high quality 12oz super smooth cotton canvas with heavy duty stretcher bars, sides painted black and finished in satin varnish
