The afternoon sun spreads its glow across the hull and decks as this cruise ship is manoeuvred out from Circular Quay.
Thousands of excited holiday makers joined the ship and crowded the decks to catch glimpses of the Opera House and other sights as the ship made its way down the harbour to the open sea.
During 2019, Sydney Harbour experienced 307 scheduled cruises visiting the port.
The names Diamond Princess and Ruby Princess have now shown these luxurious holiday ships to be a petri dish of the pandemic virus, and the infected human cargo disembarking into the general community may have sounded the death knell of the cruising industry.
Sights as this may become as rare as the dodo.
