About this artwork

New Beginnings is a soft contemporary painting reflecting the shapes and colours found in nature. With the accent on texture and neutral colours it has many layers of gentle colour, drips and marks. It is important for me to convey feelings through my artwork and this painting, with its spring colours, has a feeling of renewal and regrowth. The abstract nest with eggs also symbolises new beginnings. Along with delicate colour I used touches of silver and gold in a reflective paint which changes colour according to the way the light falls on it. It comes signed on the front and the back and the edges are painted white. It is recorded in the National Registry of Australian Art and Artists and it’s registration number will be provided. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
