Artelier is a marketplace that connects talented Australian artists with art lovers looking for original works. What simply started with a desire to be able to view artworks online, turned into a marketplace that would allow artist to sell their works while still receiving a vast majority of the profit. While other online galleries and marketplaces like Artelier exist, these organisations are on average taking over 30% commission. At Artelier, we see this as stealing food from the starving artist. That's why at Artelier, we take half the commission of most other marketplaces, meaning the starving artist can buy a little more food.
